The Black Scruffy CDC Sedge is a popular fly fishing fly used for imitating adult sedge or caddis flies on the surface of the water.

The fly typically features a black body made of dubbing, which is a synthetic or natural material used to create a fuzzy appearance. The wings of the fly are made of CDC (Cul de Canard) feathers, which are lightweight and buoyant, allowing the fly to float on the water's surface. The fly's hackle is made of scruffy, or irregularly-shaped, feathers, which help create a natural, insect-like appearance.

To fish the Black Scruffy CDC Sedge, cast the fly upstream and allow it to float naturally downstream, using a slow, twitching motion to imitate the movement of an actual insect. This fly is particularly effective during caddis hatches in the summer months, but can also be used in other situations where adult sedge or caddis flies are present.

Tied on size 14 top quality barbless hooks.
